Lupus Blog: A Wife A Mom

Morning everyone.

I don’t know about you, but I am more than ready for the weekend. It’s been a very busy week. And according to the news, it’s supposed to be a cool weekend here in the metro-DC area. Highs only in the 40s / 50s. Winter is def. on its way.

I have another lupus blogger I would like to share with you. Her name is Milet and she lives in the Philippines. She is 28 years old and she is a stay at home mom. Milet writes a blog called A Wife A Mom.

Check out her blog and say hi. It’s always interesting to gain some perspective on what it’s like to live with lupus in another country.

And have a great weekend, wherever you are.

Until next time, Wick

I've never been to this site or even blogged. I guess mine is more a question. How does everyone talk about this so much? I just want my life back. I want to play with my kids and my critters, to just basically get up off my butt and keep on keeping on. You all devote so much time to this disease do you think it becomes your life when it should be just a bad part? And yes right now I am angry. Angry that I have had a two week break in a seven month flare. Angry that I have to spend three days a week at a hospital to get I.V. iron. Or just that I sit on my butt day in and out watching instead of doing. My hats off to all of you. You devote your time which is very valuable, to helping others. I just want the name of one pill, just one, that works on the fatigue. Thanks for listening.

Thanks for your email. I certainly understand where you're coming from. I think I can put you in touch with some resources that can assist you. Unfortunately, you didn't leave me a way to contact you. Please contact me directly at davis@lupus.org and I will help point you in a better direction. I look forward to hearing from you.

well i am in the middle of a about a 2 month flare and here i sit on my butt watching t.v. which seems to be the norm now a days. i used to walk 7 miles a week which doesn't seem like alot but compared to what i do now it's awesome. i just had a month off of work due to an infection in my big toe before that i spent 5 days in in the hospital due to a infected spider bite both of these times i ended up in having home i.v.'s. of course with each of these my flares have become worse. i am now on a morphine patch along with all the other meds. i'm on. i am just mad !!! i want to get off my butt and get moving.. although when i got to feeling better after each of these hospital stays when i got to feeling better i thought i could whip the world but as soon as i got back to work that feeling ended. i look in the mirror and see my lovely " butterfly rash " and think why is this happening to me.... anyway thanks for listening ! tmf802002@yahoo.com
